A CASE REPORT OF DUPUYTREN’S CONTRACTURE

Abstract

|
Dupuytren was the first to discuss the etiology, describe the anatomy of the diseased fascia, and suggest an appropriate method of treatment for Dupuytren’s disease. The authors recently experienced one case of Dupuytern’s contrature in a 60 year old male patient.
A physical examination showed a 30 degree flexion contracture of the metacarpophalangeal joint, right 5th finger. The patient was treated with regional fasciectomy and the result was excellent in both of the appearence and function. We present this case with a review of literature.
